Here are answers to the most common questions we are asked.
DiscoveRig uses data connectivity, so you don't have to be connected with Bluetooth and you don't have to hope for someone with a smartphone come near to allow the device to send you the location. DiscoveRig automatically and autonomously sends the location to our Servers, thanks to data connectivity provided with your subscription.
GPS location is sent from the DiscoveRig device to our Servers through 2G or 3G data connectivity. The positions are then displayed on the App or Web portal. Unlike other systems, our devices use only the position received from the GPS satellite, without the help of the LBS system. This method drains the battery faster but ensures a more accurate position.
No, all DiscoveRig devices (D-Rig and D-handle) do not interfere with the operation of ADDs, whether placed in the POD or on the pilot chute handle.
Sharing your location with your DropZone is safe. Your data will only be shared with the skydiving school you select.
It is you who in complete autonomy can start or stop location sharing with one of the DropZones participating in the "Safe with DiscoveRig" project.
When you receive and activate your DiscovRig this function is disabled.
No, our system works with an eSim or Sim already inside the device. You don't have to worry about anything the connectivity is handled by us.
Nothing, you can freely choose not to renew your subscription for the next month and then reactivate it later for any reason, such as a period of inactivity.
Attention! upon renewal, after a STOP period, 36 hours must elapse to receive the first position and the device must be turned back on by pressing the "Action" button on the device.
